Bio

Debra was born in Timmins, Ontario.  She moved to the Niagara Peninsula settling in St.Catharines, Ontario.
During this time, she studied art with many gifted, local artists and was involved in many Niagara area art scenes.  She continued to explore her art education at Rodman Hall where she took drawing, oil painting and watercolor classes.
In the 90's, Debra attended Brock University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in French. She followed that up with her Bachelor of Education.  She taught in elementary and secondary schools in Ontario, then moved to Vancouver.
Through it all Debra continued to paint. Her inspirations came from the world around her, including her many travel destinations to France, Ireland, Australia, Spain and St. Maartens.  She eventually opened her own gallery in St.Catharines.  She exhibited in solo shows at The Niagara Gallery, group shows in Port Dalhousie, was featured in the Port Dalhousie Peer newspaper and was interviewed for an artist segment with CBC Radio Canada television, as well as CBC Art Circuit in Ottawa.
Her move to Vancouver was a wonderful experience that enabled her to explore the art culture of that city.
Returning to Ontario has provided her with renewed enthusiasm and zeal. She will continue to paint what she loves and travel to inspirational destinations yet explored.
